Worms in 1521 and today
Martin Luther was in Worms for ten days in 1521. Emperor Charles V had summoned him to Worms to attend the Imperial Diet, where he was to recant his writings. The Reformation took its course. 2021 marks the 500th anniversary of Luther's refusal to recant.
