Vino Day at Gerharz Weinerlebnis, Gau-Algesheim
Wednesdays from 5 to 10 p.m. are the perfect time to unwind in Gau-Algesheim: The Vino Day at Gerharz wine experience takes place in the modern Vinotheque so you can treat yourself to a well-deserved break on rainy days without having to worry about the weather beforehand.
The light-flooded vinotheque promises a cozy evening; the detailed furnishings include beautifully patterned tiles, an original chandelier and lovingly laid wooden tables with comfortable chairs (mostly) in Scandinavian style. All that's missing now is a little refreshment to make you really happy.
As if on cue, our stomachs are already growling; we quickly delve into the small menu and finally decide on the two dishes of the day: my husband enjoys the Gorgonzola schnitzel with tagliatelle. I am more than satisfied with my Mediterranean penne "pesto" (with cherry tomatoes, rocket, parmesan and roasted pine nuts).
As befits a proper Vino Day, there are also numerous wines by the glass on the menu. Non-alcoholic drinks, beer and other sparkling beverages are also available. Rheinhessen Wine Salon: After-work party in the courtyard of the Landesmuseum and on the banks of the Rhine, Mainz
Now we are drawn to beautiful Mainz: in the state capital of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Wine Salon Rheinhessen - consisting of winegrowers between the ages of 18 and 35 - chilled after-work events. Whether it's a group of girls, colleagues or couples in love: Everyone is welcome here.
The dedicated association has two attractive locations in Rheinhessen; on the first Tuesday of the month you can meet on the picturesque banks of the Rhine (April to September from 5 pm) or on the third Tuesday of the month you can celebrate in the dignified courtyard of the Landesmuseum Mainz (April to August from 5 pm).
My husband and I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere by the Rhine with a glass or two of wine - I have taken the Gewürztraminer Spätlese to my heart and my husband is particularly fond of the dry Chardonnay. The changing wine list presents a colorful potpourri of currently 18 wineries; let us advise you and find the right grape juice for you.
The party concept is complemented by regional manufacturers who provide the partygoers with delicious snacks. I indulge in my delicious guacamole fries - I am very reluctant to share my crispy chips with my hubby.

APÉRO at the wine cellar. Exchange desk for wine table, Ingelheim
Ingelheim also knows how to celebrate: in the idyllic front garden of the Ingelheimer Winzerkeller always takes place on Tuesdays in the event series "APÉRO at the wine cellar. Swap desk for wine table" (May to June from 6 pm to 9 pm).
Fancy a little cultural tour before the event starts?
If you are interested in the history of the Winzerkeller, you should definitely take a look at the free permanent exhibition KELLERGENOSSEN - The legacy experience anew you will find it in the second basement of the Winzerkeller.
The good things are so close: In addition to the multimedia exhibition and the tourist information center, the Ingelheim Winzerkeller is also home to the Engler'S restaurant, which will provide you with small dishes as part of the event. The excellent wine comes from the Ingelheim Vinothequewhich is also located in the historic building.
I have discovered the Gelber Muskateller for myself; my husband, on the other hand, remains faithful to his beloved Rosé spritzer.
Relaxing is easy here: on benches under spacious parasols, colorful deckchairs or in particularly comfortable hanging chairs - the choice is yours. Now you can listen to the live music. After Work Lounge, Wasem Kloster Engelthal, Ingelheim
We're staying true to the red wine town: on the first Thursday of the month, you can meet up on the spacious grounds of Wasems Engelthal Monastery wines, cocktails and delicious dishes (May to September). An exciting event that should not be missed in this article.
We have attended this event several times - we like the Mediterranean, casual atmosphere that this event exudes. On the sun-drenched terrace, you can ring in the end of the working day in comfort. For me, one of the bar tables is the first choice today; a welcome change from sitting at a desk for hours on end. Of course, there are also plenty of tables and benches.
Our friends have also arrived in the meantime: We haven't seen each other for a while; there's a lot to talk about. A good wine is a must now - our glasses clink gently as we clink glasses. The fine aroma of food wafts over to us; I order a classic BBQ burger (a good choice, as I soon discover).
You can also use the adjacent meadow for your well-deserved evening off; there is already a lot going on there: children are completely absorbed in their games, colorful picnic blankets are spread out, cheerful laughter can be heard from everywhere; all this accompanied by pleasant music.
