Winery Dohlmühle
The Winery Dohlmühle proudly looks back on a very long tradition. Already in the late Middle Ages, the Dohlmühle was mentioned in interest books of the Wildgrafen and is thus one of the oldest mills in Rheinhessen. This tradition is still very important today. The Stütz family runs their winery with about 30 hectares of vineyards and also a first-class restaurant and a cozy guesthouse with much love and passion.
In the run-up to your hike on the Hiwwelour Aulheimer Valley family Stütz will be happy to pack you a hiking backpack with "Weck, Worscht un Woi". Afterwards, you can relax in the wellness area with herbal sauna, steam bath and experience shower and relax your tired muscles. During opening hours, day guests can also recharge their batteries here. In the evening, you will be served a delicious menu in the restaurant of the Dohlmühle under a rustic vault, rounded off with the estate's own wines.
If you have fallen in love with the Rhine-Hessian hilly landscape and the trullo on the Hiwweltour, you can experience the vineyards once again with the Stütz family. They will take you to their vines in a covered wagon and explain interesting facts about cultivation, harvesting and the fantastic views in all four directions.
Espenhof Winery
Also the Aspen Farm can look back on a long history. In the 17th century, an ancestor of the Espenschied family settled in Flonheim. No wonder, then, that tradition has a high value here, too.
The former house Feudner, also called "Post", has always been one of the most beautiful buildings in Uffhofen, a district of Flonheim. The Espenschied family has prepared it for you with great attention to detail, so that you feel completely at home. In total, there are 20 rooms in the country hotel, the winery and the new building with a stylish ambience, open room concept and ecological construction. Besides tradition, closeness to nature is just as important. This can also be tasted in the natural wines of their own production.
For hikers there is the possibility to rent a picnic backpack and enjoy a typical Rhine-Hessian snack on the Hiwweltour Aulheimer Tal. If it may be something very special, family Espenschied also brings you a picnic directly to the Hiwweltour and spoils you there with sparkling wine, chilled wine, water, grape juice and special delicacies from the Espenhof kitchen.

Of course, you can also enjoy these delicacies in the wine tavern of the Espenhof itself. In summer it is especially nice to sit in the idyllic, Mediterranean vineyard.
Winery Meyerhof
Welcome to paradise, to the "Wine Paradise! At least that is the name of the combination of guesthouse, vinotheque and event location that the Hammer family has developed. The origins of the winery go back to Arthur Meyer, great uncle of Bernd Hammer and also the namesake of the Meyerhof. Two generations unite expertise, experience and plenty of hospitality under one roof.
In 2014, the new "Wine Paradise" was created with the aim of making wine tangible. In the guesthouse you can expect a familiar and personal atmosphere, modern rooms and... the color purple! Alina Engel reveals that purple is her mother's favorite color and this preference therefore influences the entire design of the winery.
The wine experience weekend at the Meyerhof includes a picnic backpack for your hike on the Hiwweltour Aulheimer Tal. In addition, a welcome sparkling wine, a guided tour of the farm, a wine tasting followed by a tarte flambée evening and two nights' accommodation with breakfast buffet await you. Wine, hiking and enjoyment: they not only belong together, they also lead to each other. This always creates a great community in the "wine paradise".
Winery Strubel-Roos
The roots of the Winery Strubel-Roos go back many centuries. The winery is located in the monastery corner and the name reveals that Augustinian monks once lived here. No wonder, then, that such a one adorns the labels of the wine bottles.
The Roos family loves being hosts and having people around them. So they not only run the winery, but also a country hotel and a café with an incredible selection of cakes and pies. You can make yourself comfortable in the newly renovated main house, the former day laborer's house or the modern new building at the historic market town wall and then discover Flonheim and the surrounding area from there. The Landhotel is an excellent hiking hotel and therefore a great starting point for the Hiwweltour Aulheimer Tal! There is a drying room for hiking boots, shoe polish, blister plasters and hiking maps. There is nothing more in the way of a successful hike!
On Saturdays and Sundays, a sweet treat awaits you in daughter Veronika's wine café afterwards. All pies and cakes are homemade, accompanied by fresh coffee or a glass of sparkling wine from the estate's own champagne cellar. How about a piece of Trullo cake? After more than 13 kilometers of hike you deserve it!
