Theme year "Everything Carl?" Rheinhessen 2025
To mark the anniversary of Carl Zuckmayer's play "Der fröhliche Weinberg", the theme year "Alles Carl?" Rheinhessen 2025 is taking place. The program includes numerous events with many thematic focuses and concepts. The initiative of the Regional Cultural Management Rheinhessen have put together a program of over 30 events together with the Nackenheim Carl Zuckmayer Society. It is dedicated to Zuckmayer's life and takes a creative approach to his work. From music, theater and film to art and literature to wine and food and much more - you can expect a colorful potpourri, as exciting and varied as Zuckmayer's work and being. 25 years of the Da Capo open-air festival in Alzey
A quarter of a century of music in the open air! The open-air festival Da Capo in Alzey feiert 2025 sein 25-jähriges Jubiläum und verspricht ein Line-up, das für jeden Musikgeschmack etwas bereithält. Die historische Kulisse des Alzeyer Schlosses sorgt für eine einzigartige Atmosphäre, die ihr euch nicht entgehen lassen solltet. An exciting new addition for all culture lovers: the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz has temporarily moved to the Natural History Museum Mainz. The interim exhibition "Into the future with Gutenberg - Highlights of a media innovation" at the Gutenberg Museum presents important media-historical objects and links them with current social and media topics. It sheds light on the impressive figure of Gutenberg and the lasting impact of his inventions. For younger visitors, there is a selfie station where you can take photos in a medieval printing workshop setting and take them home in digital or printed form. The highlight of the exhibition are two copies of the 42-line Gutenberg Bible, which are on display in a walk-in treasure chamber and can be compared with each other.
