I start my shopping trip in charming Gau-Algesheim. Bookworms get their money's worth here: the Bookstore herr holgersson provides you with a large selection of gripping reading material; it has been managed by Sabine Kruesemer since 2021.
The range also includes tasteful non-books such as postcards, book bags and bookmarks. And even the youngest bookworms are sure to find what they are looking for in the spacious children's book department.
In the lovingly designed bookshop, comfortable armchairs invite you to browse; pleasant music plays in the background. The atmosphere here is cozy throughout; the love of books can be felt everywhere. This is well received: Last year, the store was awarded the German Bookstore Prize - great!
herr holgersson also offers unusual events: you can spend the night in the bookshop or browse with your loved ones at "Sun-down Schmökern" after closing time. In addition, at "herr holgersson reads in a circle", everyone is invited to talk about a previously chosen book.

Current favorite piece: Anika Pries loves all of her pieces, but she is particularly taken with the stylish "Earth" floor lamp made of papier-mâché - one of the handmade pieces is also in her home and provides wonderful light.
Schönenberger fashion store in Alzey
I have now arrived in Rheinhessen's secret capital: In the heart of Alzey is the Schönenberger fashion house. The family business in Antoniterstrasse supplies women, men and children with chic clothing and fashionable accessories.
Christof Schönenberger has always been very interested in fashion. The textile retailer followed in his father's footsteps - who owned several fashion boutiques in Alzey - and finally took over Modehaus Sauer in 2011. He runs the distinctive store together with his wife Helena. They are supported by a dedicated team.
Like the two previously mentioned, Schönenberger also has its own online store. But coming to the Volkerstadt and getting expert advice is simply a thousand times more personal and enjoyable, isn't it?
In the spacious 3,000 square meter store you will find trendy brand fashion in various price ranges, for example Cecil, Gerry Weber or Marc Cain. Comfortable armchairs allow you to take a pleasant breather.

In love with wool in Nieder-Olm
In Nieder-Olm, the in love with wool has been making the hearts of knitting and crochet fans beat faster since September 2021.
In addition to a large selection of high-quality wool and yarns, the product range also includes matching accessories and original gift ideas. Hand-picked items such as cuddly toys, tableware and decorations await in the enchanting colorful area - it's not just children's eyes that light up ...
The enchanting store is made for extensive browsing and lingering. Excellent service is a matter of course for owner Michaela Naumann; she is happy to assist her customers with their imaginative projects.
Her family has always been passionate about knitting. Michaela Naumann was only too happy to let it infect her: "Knitting is a creative activity, calms the mind and keeps the hands busy," she enthuses. Regular workshops in the store also provide a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people.
Tip for dates: You can still visit the SALE pop-up store in the neighboring old fruit farm until the end of the year: On Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. you can pick up bargains and store for Christmas presents.
