\"Trautwein - Das Winzerhotel am La Roche\" in Flonheim is more than just a hotel - it is a place where sustainable lifestyle and enjoyment go hand in hand. At the heart of the restaurant is a wholesome, purely plant-based cuisine that uses seasonal ingredients from the region and regularly adapts its menu to the seasons. Nana and Frank, the owners of the restaurant, focus on creative vegan dishes that combine taste and health. \"Vegan cuisine is more creative, you have to put a lot more thought into it,\" explains Frank. \"One person tries something with cashews, the other with cauliflower, everyone tries in their own way to give the dishes depth, variety and flavor.\" The guests appreciate the variety, even if not all of them are vegan. Many come because they are open to new things. Nadezhda emphasizes: \"Inspiration doesn't come from aggression. Nana and Frank have been vegan for over ten years. For Nana, it was a conscious decision that began early on: \"I told myself from the age of 20 that I didn't want to eat anything that I couldn't kill myself.\" She explains that she initially thought chicken and fish were still possible, but an encounter with her injured dog Evi changed everything: \"That's when I realized that her thigh basically looks exactly like that of a chicken. From then on, I couldn't eat it anymore.\" For Frank, the switch was also a clear decision: \"I immediately went from being an omnivore to a vegan. It felt good for us straight away.\" Both report that they feel much better physically since then. Frank adds: \"My allergies have completely disappeared, high blood pressure, elevated blood lipid levels - all gone.\"<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The couple live a conscious, sustainable lifestyle, which is also reflected in the hotel. While planning permission had already been granted and the plans for a classic winegrower's restaurant were in place, they decided to make a radical change after changing their diet: \"It was going to be a vegan restaurant, anything else would have felt wrong,\" says Frank. The decision was courageous, but it reflects their convictions.
