This is also the case here: At the beginning of the 19th century, the miller's daughter fell in love with a handsome farmer's son. He was not only good-looking, but also an exceptionally good dancer and wealthy to boot. A good match! The young man was also not averse to the miller's daughter.

The miller, however, threw a wrench in the young fortune - many years ago, he lost a lawsuit against the youngster's father. Therefore, he married his daughter to a wine merchant.

She died shortly after of a broken heart. Her beloved farmer son never tied the knot and had the Ajax Tower built on the spot where they once met for romantic walks.
